Materials & Maintenance
Discover the exceptional materials behind every Posteak collection. Materials you can choose and design, each element is chosen for its beauty, durability, and lasting performance.
Teak Wood
Timeless Strength, Natural Elegance
We specialize in crafting furniture from premium Indonesian teak wood, one of the most durable and sought-after hardwoods in the world. Known for its superior strength, natural oils, and exceptional resistance to weather, teak wood is the ideal material for both indoor and outdoor furniture.
Our teak is responsibly sourced from sustainably managed plantations in Indonesia, ensuring not only high quality but also environmental responsibility.
Over time, teak develops a beautiful silver-grey patina when exposed to the elements, while maintaining its structural integrity. With proper care, it retains its original golden-brown color, offering timeless elegance and versatility in design.
At Posteak, all teak wood is kiln-dried to optimal moisture content and processed using advanced machinery combined with skilled craftsmanship. This ensures consistent quality, precise construction, and long-lasting performance for every piece.
Routine Cleaning
To keep your teak wood furniture looking its best, clean it regularly using a soft brush or cloth with mild soap and water. This helps remove dust, dirt, and surface stains without damaging the wood’s natural finish. Avoid harsh chemicals or high-pressure cleaning, as they may affect the wood surface.
Natural Aging Process
Teak will naturally develop a silver-grey patina over time when exposed to sunlight and rain. This is a normal process and does not affect the strength or durability of the wood. Many customers appreciate this weathered look for its natural and timeless character.
Maintaining the Original Color
If you prefer to preserve the warm golden-brown color of teak, occasional application of teak oil or sealer is recommended. This helps maintain the original tone and provides an additional layer of protection against outdoor elements.
Outdoor Care Tips for
Stains:
Clean with mild soapy water and a soft cloth. For deeper stains, lightly sand along the wood grain.
Mold or Mildew:
Mix water and white vinegar, wipe gently, rinse with clean water, and dry completely under sunlight.

Our aluminum frames are engineered for stability and precision, then finished with a powder-coated surface to enhance durability and provide a smooth, elegant appearance. This coating adds an extra layer of protection against scratches, UV exposure, and environmental wear.
